Each year, the Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and the Historical Society of Old Yarmouth host the enchanting Yarmouth Port Christmas Stroll, a beloved free event. Typically held on a Sunday in December, Route 6A transforms into a festive wonderland. Attendees can enjoy complimentary trolley rides, live holiday music, and a variety of merry entertainment including face painting, magic shows, holiday crafts, and photos with Santa. The stroll also features a cozy winter petting zoo and strolling entertainers like jugglers and carolers. Local businesses welcome visitors with treats and special offers. The day often concludes with a heartwarming tree lighting ceremony on the Village Green, creating lasting holiday memories.
